On August 1 of this year, the second meeting of the "Solutions, Technology, and Innovations Expert Committee" (Committee) of the Association of Cybersecurity Organisations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) took place at the office of Digital Umbrella.

The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the chairman of the Committee, Ulduz Khalilova, founder and director of Digital Umbrella. She emphasized that the Committee's main priority is to identify and support successful projects (startups) in the field of cybersecurity. Following her remarks, Rauf Jabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of ACOA, highlighted the importance of investigating and discussing the existing challenges in cybersecurity products and innovations, preparing proposals for support mechanisms for startups, and presenting these proposals to relevant institutions.

The meeting continued with a presentation by the committee secretary, Berna Baysal, Executive Director of Karmasis Azerbaijan, covering the Committee's structure, working mechanisms, information sharing, and other related topics. As a result of the experts' discussions, it was decided to conduct research and analyses to identify local solutions and potential projects, and to study the requirements for necessary cybersecurity products and solutions in the country from both government and business perspectives. The experts agreed that the agenda for the Committee’s future activities would be shaped based on the presentation of these findings at the next meeting, with a focus on achieving concrete results.
