Training on combating fake news in cyberspace is launched

The Association of Cyber Security Organizations of Azerbaijan will conduct a training program for journalists and media representatives called "Combating Fake News in Cyberspace" in September of this year.  Registration for participation in trainings is started.

 Trainings to be carried out within the framework of the project "Combating fake news in cyberspace" will last four weeks.  The trainings will be conducted by AKTA experts and will include "Fake news in cyberspace: concepts of "disinformation", "misinformation", "malinformation" and the differences between them", "Transformation of the media: fake news on digital technologies and social media platforms", "In the legislation of Azerbaijan  and the concept of fake news and disinformation and types of liability in international law", "Information (or disinformation) attacks and countermeasures in the context of non-interference in the internal affairs of states", "Passive digital footprinting: search engines, Whois, Archive.org  and other sources", "Innovation in cybersecurity, new technologies and the Metaverse", etc.  will cover such topics.

 It should be noted that the main goal of the "Combating fake news in cyberspace" project implemented by AKTA is to educate media representatives about the concept of fake news and fight against them, to encourage and support the participation of media representatives in the prevention of fake news.

 The project is implemented with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 Journalists, media representatives, bloggers and relevant persons can participate in the project.  Places are limited.  Application deadline is 25 August 2023.
