A visit was made to Babeș-Bolyai University situated in the city of Cluj, renowned as the ”Silicon Valley” of Romania.

As part of the official business visit to the Republic of Romania, the delegation convened meetings at Babeș-Bolyai University.

During the meetings with the university management and teaching staff the delegation received comprehensive information about Babeș-Bolyai University, including its history, faculties, research centers and its initiatives in the realm of cybersecurity and combating cybercrime. Additionally, details regarding the university's international relations were presented to the delegation. The Chairman of the ACOA Board Elvin Balajanov, shared insights into the educational and research endeavours undertaken by Azerbaijani higher education institutions in the fields of information security and cybersecurity. Moreover, he discussed the projects executed by the Association, emphasizing efforts to enhance collaboration between educational institutions and the industry.

Subsequently, a gathering took place with Azerbaijani students enrolled at Babeș-Bolyai University. The exchange encompassed the students' perspectives and encounters regarding their academic pursuits at the university, the overall study and research environment and the training and career prospects that can be provided by ACOA in the future.

It is noteworthy that Babeș-Bolyai University stands as one of the oldest and foremost institutions in Romania. The university offers masters and doctoral programs specifically tailored to the field of cybersecurity.
