ACOA was represented at the "5th Summit of IT Leaders of Government Agencies."

On February 21 of this year, the "5th Summit of IT Leaders of Government Agencies" was held, organized by the Special Communication and Information Security State Service. The event aimed to engage the leadership of government agencies in experience sharing on information security, jointly assess cybersecurity threats, and strengthen inter-agency communication.

 

The Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) was represented at the event by its Chairman of the Board, Elvin Balajanov. In his speech, Mr. Balajanov emphasized the importance of prioritizing national solutions in ensuring the security of critical information infrastructure. Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of promptly identifying sector needs, providing comprehensive support, and establishing effective collaboration mechanisms to drive rapid development in this field.

 

At the summit, participants discussed the state of information security in government agencies, recent developments, and future plans. Key topics included critical areas to focus on in information security audits, targets of neutralized cyber groups in the country and methods to combat them, results of cybersecurity simulations conducted in government institutions, as well as bug bounty and cyber hygiene initiatives. Additionally, discussions covered emerging threat trends, challenges faced by government agencies, and proposed solutions, fostering a comprehensive exchange of ideas.
