On October 23, 2024, the 10th Azerbaijan Microfinance Conference, dedicated to the theme "Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Microfinance," was held under the organization of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, with the organizational support of the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan Association of Accountants and Risk Professionals.

The event featured panel discussions on various topics dedicated to the field of microfinance. Among the topics, "Digital Transformation and Technologies in Microfinance Institutions" and "Cybersecurity Challenges in Digital Microfinance" garnered particular interest.

The ACOA Board of Directors (BoD) and representatives actively participated in the conference. Notably, the panel dedicated to cybersecurity was moderated by Rauf Jabarov, Deputy Chairman of ACOA's BoD, and featured presentations by Elvin Balajanov, Chairman of the BoD; Kenan Mammadov, Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations at Simbrella LLC and a BoD member; and Elshad Nuriyev, ACOA expert and IT Director of Aqrarkredit OJSC. Additionally, Elnur Eyvazli, Director of the Central Bank's Information and Cybersecurity Department, contributed to the panel. The discussion explored existing cyber threats, anticipated trends, and cyber risks within the microfinance sector in detail.
