Azerbaijan signed the UN Convention against Cybercrime.

On October 25-26, the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, hosted a solemn signing ceremony of the United Nations (UN) Convention against Cybercrime by member states.

The event was attended by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Vietnamese President Le Quang, representatives of various countries' delegations, officials from international organizations, and experts.

In accordance with the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the Convention was signed on behalf of Azerbaijan by the head of the State Security Service, General Сolonel Ali Nağıyev.

The Convention emphasizes the importance of legal cooperation among states in combating cybercrime, preventing the misuse of information and communication technologies, and establishing mechanisms for the collection and presentation of electronic evidence at the international level.

By October 25-26, 2025, a total of 72 countries had signed the Convention.
