 A seminar on hybrid threats was held at BEU.

 A third seminar was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) within the framework of the project “Cooperation with Transnational Internet Corporations in Combating Hybrid Threats,” implemented with the support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Vagif Gasimov, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies at BEU, spoke about the relevance of the topic in the modern era. He emphasized that information security is an integral part of both an individual’s and a country’s defense system. He also noted that similar events are regularly organized within the faculty to raise students’ awareness and enhance their knowledge.

Fidan Ahmadova, Secretary General of ACOA (Association of Cybersecurity Organisations of Azerbaijan), provided a brief overview of the association’s ongoing projects. She highlighted the importance of developing the cybersecurity ecosystem in the country, engaging young people in this field, and strengthening their knowledge. She also invited students to actively participate in the Cyber Clubs.

ACOA experts Rashad Aliyev and Lala Karimova delivered presentations on topics related to the seminar. The speakers covered key principles of cybersecurity, protection of personal data, information threats on social networks, and methods of combating hybrid threats.

At the end of the event, participants’ questions were addressed.
