The campaign titled "Protecting Children from Harmful and Dangerous Information in the Digital Society" has officially been launched.

A project dedicated to World Children's Day, observed on November 20, has been launched in partnership with the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan and organized by the "Regional Development" Public Union. As part of the project, extensive awareness-raising activities focused on ensuring children's safety in the digital environment will be conducted over the course of one month in Baku, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Lankaran, and Gabala.

The purpose of the campaign titled "Protecting Children from Harmful and Dangerous Information in the Digital Society" is to safeguard the rights of children and their parents by raising awareness about the proper and safe use of digital technologies and resources. As part of the campaign, informative sessions will be conducted for students in grades VII-XI and their parents in the designated cities and regions. These sessions will focus on protecting children from harmful information, guidelines for appropriate use of social media and digital resources, and the role of children’s rights in the digital society. Additionally, a conference addressing the significance of children’s rights in the digital age will be organized, along with the preparation and distribution of various informational print materials.

The project is supported by Nar and implemented in partnership with the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan, and ADA University.
