The campaign titled "Protecting Children from Harmful and Dangerous Information in the Digital Society," organized by the “Regional Development” Public Union in partnership with the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan, is successfully ongoing. As part of the campaign, training sessions have been launched.
The first training sessions of the project were held on December 3 with the participation of students and their parents from Ganja city’s Secondary Schools No. 10 and No. 29. During the sessions, participants were informed about the risks present in the digital environment, methods to protect children from these dangers were explained, and public awareness materials were distributed. The sessions continued in a Q&A format, allowing for detailed discussions on the relevant topics.
During the training sessions, experts from ACOA delivered presentations on various topics. These included Shahin Aliyev, Head of the Cybersecurity Platform, Zaur Gasımov, Director of MilliSec, and Zahra Shahbazova, Information Security Specialist at Cybersign.
The primary goal of the project is to educate children and parents on the proper and safe use of digital technologies and resources, thereby ensuring the protection of their rights. Dedicated to World Children's Day on November 20, the project is supported by Nar and implemented in partnership with the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and ADA University.
