Final Presentations of the Educational Project Held at the Police Academy

The final seminar and presentation of the educational and methodological materials developed under the project “Development of Scientific and Methodological Teaching Resources for the Information Security Specialization”, implemented by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took place at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The event featured opening remarks and speeches from key participants, including First Deputy Head of the Police Academy, Colonel of Police Vugar Mansurov; Executive Director of ACOA Rauf Jabarov; Project Manager Tabriz Jafarov; and the authors of the teaching materials—Professor Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Head of Department at the Police Academy Orkhan Mammadov, ACOA Expert Rashad Aliyev, and PhD in Technical Sciences, Head of Department at the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic Asif Ganbayev.

In his opening speech, Colonel Mansurov welcomed the guests and emphasized the critical importance of cybersecurity education. He noted that the Academy highly values ACOA’s initiatives and remains committed to supporting such efforts in the future.

Rauf Jabarov highlighted ACOA’s continued commitment to raising awareness and enhancing education in the cybersecurity field, stressing that the association will further develop the methodological framework for the “Information Security” specialization.

Following the speeches, the project team and authors presented the newly developed materials. After the official part of the event, the guests were introduced to the practical laboratories established at the Academy.

It should be noted that the project, implemented by ACOA, is carried out within the framework of the grant competition “Promotion of Volunteering Activities in Education” announced by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2024. As a result of the project, syllabi and methodological materials (including lecture collections) were developed for three subjects under the “Information Security” specialization: “Fundamentals of Cryptography”, “Security of Electronics and IoT Devices”, and “Social Engineering.”
