The third meeting of the "Expert Committee on Cyber Threats, Procedures, and Technical Issues" of the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) took place on September 28 of this year.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the committee's chairman, Vusal Salmanli, founder and director of Defscope, who greeted the Committee members. He highlighted the key issues on the meeting's agenda and emphasized the necessity of organizing public events on cybersecurity more frequently. Following this, ACOA’s Head of the Research and Development Department, Tabriz Jafarov, stressed the importance of investigating and discussing existing problems related to cyber threats, procedures, and technical matters. He also underscored the need to prepare proposals for combating disinformation and submit them to the relevant authorities.
The meeting continued with a presentation by the Committee's chairman, Vusal Salmanli, director of Defscope, on the creation of subcommittees within the Committee, their operational mechanisms, the exchange of information within the Committee, and other related matters. As a result of discussions among the experts, it was decided to establish subcommittees, define their working mechanisms, and appoint a coordinator. The experts agreed to shape the future agenda of the Committee’s activities and focus on result-oriented work on the aforementioned topics in the next meeting.
