The presentation and trainings were held at higher educational institutions in connection with the implementation of the project "Preparation of scientific-methodical teaching (print and digital) materials for the specialty of information security" carried out by the Association of Cybersecurity Organisations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) with the financial support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan from April 29 to May 4 of the current year. 

The main goal of the above-mentioned project was to support the implementation of the educational program applied at the "Information Security" specialty of the bachelor's level. For this purpose, a syllabus, a set of lectures and digital teaching-methodical materials have been prepared for the subjects "Information Security and Cyber Security", "Web Security" and "Network Security". Specialists operating in the relevant field in the Republic of Azerbaijan and abroad participated in the preparation of materials. Thus, the materials on the subject "Legal Aspects of Information Security and Cyber Security" were prepared by the Chairman of ACOA’s Board, Dr. Elvin Balajanov, Dr. Tabriz Jafarov (Raufoglu), field researchers Vugar Gadimov and Humay Huseynova, materials on "Web Security" subject by Azerbaijani researcher Adil Aliyev, an employee of "Samsung Electronics" company, and Farid Ahmadli, currently working as a software engineer in "Microsoft" company ". The materials on the subject "Network Security" were prepared by the Department Head of Mingachevir State University, associate professor Aida Mustafayeva. Presentations and trainings were held at Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku Engineering University, Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Western Caspian University , Baku State University and Baku Higher Oil School from April 29 to May 3 with the participation of the authors of relevant materials and ACOA expert Rashad Aliyev. In total, more than 500 students, up to 50 representatives of professors and teachers took part in the presentations.

On May 4, a closing event was held with the participation of faculty members from leading higher educational institutions teaching information security, coordinators of cyber clubs, representatives of ACOA member companies, and independent experts. Within the framework of the event, representatives of higher educational institutions voiced opinions on information security specialisation and specialist training, and interesting discussions were held. The event continued in the format of a discussion between academia and industry. At the end of the event, the participants shared their ideas and future views on the development of the information security specialty in our country. An agreement was reached regarding the preparation of teaching-methodical materials for other subjects in the relevant specialty.
