On September 26, a meeting was held at the Small and Medium Business House in Baku, initiated by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), with the participation of ACOA member companies. The meeting was attended by key representatives from the National Cybersecurity Center.
The meeting included discussions based on questions from ACOA member companies providing cybersecurity services and the issues arising from their activities. Additionally, topics such as the provision of cybersecurity services in our country, current challenges, and opportunities for collaboration were discussed. Company executives shared information about their operations and proposed suggestions aimed at expanding their services.
Representatives of the National Cybersecurity Center provided information regarding the existing legislation in the field of critical information infrastructure, including the "Rules for Ensuring the Security of Critical Information Infrastructure in the Republic of Azerbaijan," approved by the Decision No. 229 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 17, 2023. They addressed participants' questions and shared insights on the potential activities of cybersecurity service providers in the field of critical information infrastructure.
It is envisaged that regular meetings will be held to establish a productive collaboration between state and private organizations (cybersecurity service providers) in the field of critical information infrastructure security and to promote the development of the cybersecurity ecosystem.
