A roundtable meeting was held through the joint initiative and organization of the Association of Cybersecurity Organisations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) and the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA), with the participation of responsible representatives from the Central Bank.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss issues arising from the “Requirements for Ensuring Information Security in Entities Supervised in Financial Markets” approved by the Central Bank, as well as questions related to conducting audits of information security in financial institutions.
The meeting brought together senior officials of the Central Bank, leadership from ACOA and AMFA, representatives of member companies, and experts. The practical implementation of the new requirements was discussed during the roundtable. Akif Baghirov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Central Bank, provided clarifications on questions arising in this area. The session also included an exchange of views with the expert community.
It should be noted that ACOA regularly organizes meetings on information security across various sectors.
