On July 18, a meeting with specialized companies in the field of ICT was held at the university-industry cooperation center located at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The purpose of the meeting was to establish a dialogue in the direction of strengthening the university-industry partnership, as well as to inform industry representatives about the "ICT skills" scholarship program named after Maya Hajiyeva, which was jointly organized by the Education Development Fund (EDF) and the Azerbaijan representation of the "Women in Tech" organization.
Elvin Balajanov, Chairman of the board of Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), emphasized the importance of continuous improvement of existing ICT and information security training programs in higher education institutions, as well as aligning them with the requirements of the digital era and emerging cyber threats. He also highlighted the significance of enhancing national solutions and workforce potential to ensure the security of critical information infrastructures and stressed the need for expanding university-industry partnerships. This was mentioned during a meeting organized by the Education Development Fund. Furthermore, the Chairman of Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of taking necessary measures to ensure that education in the field of ICT and cybersecurity is accessible to physically disabled individuals.
In addition to suggestions for enhancing the university-industry partnership, ideas were exchanged to facilitate the expansion of cooperation between Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan and the Education Development Fund.
